Deep Canvassing: The Proven Method to Change Hearts and Minds! Do you want to have compassionate, non-judgmental conversations across lines of difference? We can show you how.

WASHINGTON – People’s Action has collected more than 65,000 petition signatures calling on Disney CEO Bob Iger to resign from President Donald Trump’s economic advisory council and stop collaborating with Trump. Together with allies at SumOfUs, CREDO, Color of Change, the Center for Public Democracy, and others we delivered over 370,000 petition signatures to Disney in Orlando, Florida on February 14. Yet Iger has not changed course and refuses to step down.

Today, we asked members of our online community to take the next step share this poster and other graphics to help spread the word: Disney has joined the Dark Side. They are building a Death Star with Donald Trump. But rebellions are built on hope and until Bob Iger resigns from Trump’s economic advisory board, we are prepared to jump in our x-wings and use every Jedi mind trick we can muster to bring them over to our side.

“Disney is known for it’s fun-loving family movies. But there’s nothing fun about what the Trump Administration is doing to immigrant families,” said Liz Ryan Murray, policy director for People’s Action. “Disney can sing ‘It’s a Small World’ all they want, but until Bob Iger steps down from Trump’s economic advisory council, they’ll be singing out of tune.”

About People’s Action

People’s Action is a national network of 40 state and local grassroots, power-building organizations united in fighting for justice. Our organization recently released a vision for a national Homes Guarantee that has already prompted major legislation from champions including U.S. Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib. We operate the largest progressive rural organizing project in the country. Prior to endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders for president, we completed a national forum series that The Nation called “the most in-depth, people-powered forum” of the 2020 cycle.”
